Honest Festival Review aims to make festival culture interesting without overstating what we know. We explain our choices, treat differing traditions with care and welcome readers who flag a mistake.

Accuracy and context

We check factual claims against reliable material suited to the subject and present traditions in context. When a detail is uncertain or interpretations differ, we say so rather than turning a possibility into a settled fact. We do not invent examples and present them as real events.

Independence and corrections

Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. A partner cannot buy a favourable assessment or control an editorial conclusion. If we find a material error, we correct it and make the change clear to readers; send suspected errors through the Contact page with the relevant article and detail.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or otherwise partner-supported material is clearly labelled so readers can recognise its context. Any accepted partner placement is identified as such. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where used, they are labelled, and they are not presented as documentary photographs.
